Description:
The Historic Properties Assistance Program (HPA) provides technical and financial support for privately-owned historic properties in Yukon.
Comments on Funding:
1. This program provides funding on a matching basis. This means, if your application is successful, that we will match the amount you spend on eligible costs up to a maximum $10,000 per year, per project.
2. Properties that are designated as national, territorial or municipal historic sites may be eligible for funding up to a maximum of $20,000.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. individuals,
2. community groups,
3. societies,
4. Yukon First Nations governments,
5. municipalities, and
6. businesses.
7. Properties must be included in Yukon Historic Sites Inventory to be eligible.
The applicant must be one of the following:
1. The owner.
2. The long-term lessee. Written permission of the owner to undertake the proposed work is required.
3. The group or individual generally recognized to have responsibility for, and control of, the site.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. Contact the historic sites project officer. They can assist with your application.
2. Complete the HPA guidelines and application form.
3. Submit the completed form along with any necessary documentation.

Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit:
1. a completed application form;
2. all the required documents, as requested.
