Description:

The Yukon Historic Resources Fund (YHRF) supports projects that promote the study and interpretation of Yukon’s historic resources. Projects should promote appreciation, preservation and development of Yukon’s heritage.

Comments on Funding:

1. The YHRF provides matching funding up to 50% of project costs to a maximum of $10,000.
2. While the total project value may exceed $20,000, applications requesting more than $10,000 from the YHRF will not be considered.
3. Upon approval of funding, the applicant will receive up to 80% of the approved amount with 20% payable upon satisfactory completion and final approval of the project.
4. Payments are conditional upon provision of proof of permits for those projects requiring permits.

March 15 at 5pm

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

1. societies,
2. businesses,
3. cultural centres,
4. municipalities and
5. First Nations governments.
6. Yukon applicants will be prioritized.

Projects should relate to areas including:

1. archaeology
2. palaeontology
3. community museums
4. First Nations heritage or cultural centres
5. native language preservation
6. toponymy
7. historical research

2. Download the guidelines and application form.
3. Submit your completed application and supporting documents. Make sure your application is typed and you’ve signed it. We don’t accept hand-written applications.

1. a completed application form;
2. all the required documents, as requested.

Other Things to Note:

If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, it moves to the next business day.
