Who Can Apply? Artist Level II
“No-cases” may be eligible provided they are organized to coincide with a significant music event (such as a showcase event, festival or conference) and it can be demonstrated that music industry professionals have been invited to the no-case and can be reasonably expected to attend. A no-case must also be organized and presented by a third party.

The Showcase Support stream provides an investment for domestic and international showcase performances.
Level of Investment $1,500 per Applicant per deadline for Regional Showcases $3,000 per Applicant per deadline for Domestic Showcases $5,000 per Applicant per deadline for International Showcases Percentage of Investment – 50% of total budget up to max investment
Showcase Support level of investment is 50% to a maximum of $5,000.00 (International), $3,000 (Domestic excluding PEI and New Brunswick), and $1,500 (Regional - PEI, NB, excluding NS) per Applicant per deadline.
Eligible Travellers include: Artist/Group Members, Hired Musicians, Tour Manager or Tour Technician.

Capped at $300/performance or $300 per day if the artist performs more than once in a day. Must be Nova Scotian, unless otherwise approved by Music Nova Scotia.

5 days max for domestic and regional showcases
Maximum of $75/person per calendar day for domestic and regional showcases.
Max $100/person per calendar day. 7 days for International.
Number of room nights = number of rooms x number of nights. 5 days for domestic, 7 days for international.
A maximum of $300.00 per night, per room can be claimed
$0.60/km. Gas receipts are not eligible.
$400 Maximum - Handbills, posters, banners, etc. This is a mandatory field. If you are projecting no expenses for this line item please enter 0.
Third Party Fees up to 20% of negotiated and verified performance income.
When a tour includes a conference showcase date(s), the corresponding registration fees are eligible and the official showcase invitation must be included with the application.
15% of total Eligible Costs to a maximum of $500. This is a mandatory field. Only admin fees paid to third parties are eligible.
In-House costs are allowed in this component. Generally, and unless otherwise explicitly allowed by Music Nova Scotia, In-house and/or Related Party Transactions are capped at a maximum of 25% of the total Eligible Costs. In any event, artists’ performance fees will not count towards the In-House cap.
