Description:
The Saskatchewan Technology Fund (STF) is a funding program designed to support industry-driven technology, innovation, and improvement projects that lead to the mitigation, sequestration or capture of greenhouse gases (GHGs).
The STF, through a competitive process, supports industry-driven technology, innovation and improvement projects that reduce the GHG emissions intensity of emitters regulated under Saskatchewan’s Output-Based Performance Standards Program.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be regulated emitters under The Management and Reduction of Greenhouse Gases (Standards and Compliance) Regulation;
2. have industry-driven technology, innovation, and improvement projects;
3. be established in Saskatchewan.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. submit an EOI before the intake deadline to be considered for funding.
2. Only selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals.
3. Apply through the online application portal.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit:
1. an Expression of Interest;
2. a Full Proposal.
Other Things to Note:
1. Innovation Saskatchewan is administering this program on behalf of the Ministry of Environment.
2. In effect on September 1, 2018, the regulations obligate any provincial facility that emits more than 10,000 tonnes per year to report those emissions. The regulations provide parameters for mandatory greenhouse gas reductions through output-based performance standards for industry, along with compliance options.
