Description:
The Artists in Schools grant creates opportunities for K-12 students attending public schools throughout Manitoba to participate in high-impact arts and cultural experiences by working directly with artists, arts/cultural professionals, and Indigenous Knowledge Keepers.
Comments on Funding:
Grant amount
1. Projects involving one artist: up to $7,500 per application
2. Projects involving two or more artists: up to $15,000 per application
February 25 and September 10
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be professional artists;
2. be arts/cultural professionals;
3. be indigenous Knowledge Keepers;
4. professional arts groups;
5. professional arts organizations;
6. have a permanent physical address in Manitoba;
7. have lived in Manitoba for at least one full year before applying for a MAC grant.
Eligible schools include:
1. all schools listed in the First Nations Operated School Directory;
2. all Manitoba public schools;
3. funded independent schools as defined by the Department of
Education and Early Childhood Learning.
