Cranberry Industry Development Program
1. To provide assistance to New Brunswick (NB) cranberry
growers in increasing cranberry production by establishing new cranberry beds.

establishment of cranberry varieties with improved yield or marketability.
1. To assist with the adoption of new cranberry production
technologies and/or purchase of specialized equipment that will improve cranberry production practices in NB.

Amount
Flat rate of $10,000 per acre, to a maximum of five acres, for bed renovation or new bed construction. 50% of the eligible costs of rooted plugs, to a maximum of $9,000 CAD per acre for up to five acres. 50% of the eligible cost of non-rooted cuttings, to a maximum of $5,000 CAD per acre for up to five acres. 50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $30,000 per applicant, for equipment and technology and for pond expansion. Maximum contribution of $50,000 per applicant per year.

Who can apply
- Established NB cranberry growers with one acre or more
of cranberry beds.
- Activities must be carried out within the province of NB.
- Must be a member in good standing of Canneberges
NB Cranberries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must have an approved Environmental Farm Plan
(EFP) Action Plan completed in the 4th edition (2004) of the EFP Workbook or the corresponding electronic version. The EFP Action Plan must have had a comprehensive update completed no more than 5 years prior to the date of project completion.
