Description:

Chalmers Arts Fellowships provide Ontario artists with a significant block of time to undertake an investigation or examination of their artistic practice instead of creating or producing work. The program provides support at a time in an artist’s career when a concentration on artistic growth will have a transformative impact on their long-term artistic development.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be Individual professional artists who:
1. have been practicing for more than 10 years
2. are Ontario residents
3. are working in an arts practice supported at OAC (see Ineligible applicants section for a list of exceptions)

Application Steps:

Applicants must Complete and submit an application in Nova, OAC’s online grant application system.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:
1. basic information about the project
2. answers to application questions
3. a project budget
4. artistic examples: audio, video and/or literary examples.
5. support documents:
a. applicant’s résumé
b. other support documents
c. informed consent template to be used in the project, if applicable (see Program-specific Definitions below)
