Description:

If you want to take training to find a job, you could receive financial assistance by participating in the Workforce Training Measure.

Comments on Funding:

The employment assistance allowance paid under the Workforce Training Measure is:

$475 per week if you are taking qualifying training;
$370 per week if you are taking general training.
Exceptions may apply.

The financial assistance you receive depends on your situation and will be determined at the time of your registration. You may also be entitled to reimbursement of certain expenses, such as

Eligibility:

You may be eligible for the measure if

you are at least 16 years old;
you have stopped studying full-time for at least 24 months , except for exceptions which will be mentioned during your assessment;
you meet the admission requirements of the training program.
Your eligibility will also depend on the assessment of your situation which will be carried out taking into account other eligibility criteria specific to the Measure.

Lack of education must be a significant barrier preventing you from getting a job.
