The Protection from Wildlife Category is designed to provide farmers funding to protect their crops and livestock from wildlife. This includes funding for fencing, for crop protection measures and guardian dogs.
Comments on Funding:
Maximum of $32.80 per linear metre ($10 per linear foot) for new game fencing.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be producers;
2. be seeking financing for their crops and livestock protection;
3. have eligible activities, including:
a) fencing, as follows:
i. Game fencing,
ii. Cross fencing and perimeter fencing,
iii. Wildlife friendly fencing,
iv. Electric fencing.
b) Wildlife-proofing of crop storage facilities;
c) Crop protection measures;
d) Livestock guardian dog;
4. reside in Yukon.
