The Beneficial Management Practices assists farmers in mitigating some of the risks identified in the farm-specific Environmental Farm Plans (EFPs).

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be farmers;
2. be Agricultural producers;
3. reside in Yukon;
4. be mitigating some of the risks identified in the farm-specific Environmental Farm Plans (EFPs);
5. be required an Environmental Farm Plan;
6. have projects that:
a) are considered complete once a crop suitable for human or animal consumption has been seeded;
b) have titled farm fields not been cleared or were previously cleared but are now covered in forest regrowth;
c) Ineligible: Land previously improved with assistance from other federal or territorial government programs.

1. This program is part of the Sustainable Canadian Agriculture Partnership (Sustainable CAP).
2. The Government of Yukon is working to finalize the details for additional BMPs and funding maximums. If your proposed project includes this type of eligible activity, contact the Agriculture Branch to discuss how to include it in your application package.
